Consulting and Training
BankNet can provide
all or only some of the deliverables that are part of a typical
development life-cycle from the initial requirements through to
the final maintenance and support stage. We are equipped to do
end-to-end development on an outsourced basis, but we recognize
that clients often require only specific deliverables within the
development life-cycle. Outside of pure software development,
BankNet will perform the following specific services:
- Requirement Definition and Feasibility Assessment
- Technology Audits and Assessments
- Architecture Reviews
- Product Training and Development Methodology
- Knowledge Transfer
1. Requirement Definition and Feasibility Assessment
As part of our end-to-end commitment to outsourced development,
we can perform the business analysis and provide detailed requirements,
feasibility, and risk assessment for any new project.
2. Technology Audits and Assessments
A technology audit is often necessary when new development projects require modification of an existing system:
We leverage our experience in building these systems to help clients assess the technical
and functional adequacy of their own systems.
We take the next step by providing advice on the nature and scope of possible enhancements.
We use our in-house S/390 development facilities to provide "real-world" evaluations of new S/390 products (e.g. WebSphere).
3. Architecture Reviews
We review the architecture of client application systems and develop
plans for migration to a new target architecture.
4. Product Training and Development Methodology
When our clients choose to do their own development, we a) provide
them with training in all of BankNet's products, and b) help them
to increase their productivity. We do this by coaching clients
on enhancing their development methodology to take advantage of
the latest tools and processes.
5. Knowledge Transfer
At the end of an application development project, it is necessary
to transfer knowledge from the development team to a maintenance
and support group. BankNet provides consulting for this transfer
of knowledge. We are constantly managing this transition among
project teams within our own organization, so we make certain
to stay current on the best practices around knowledge transfer.
